Support the Work!

All of our work is made possible by generous contributions of supporters like you. We aim to be not only transparent in our spending, but also give contributors a choice in how they would like their contributions allocated. We begin by laying out the options of where you can direct your funds and disclosing what those funds actually cover. The 3 areas that we seek to make a difference in the world are in Leadership Development through education, Environmental Initiatives, and Intercultural Exchange through sports and the arts. Contributing to these programs pays for supplies, transportation, tools and technology needed to successfully facilitate workshops, trainings and camps . We also ask for direct support for the behind the scenes costs of running a philanthropic organization. If you would like your contribution to go directly to administrative costs, research, technical programs and products, program development, staffing, marketing and the cost of fundraising – Please contribute HERE!

We believe strong leaders build strong communities. Through our living school, Legacy Builders Leadership Academy, we promote the leadership development of women and youth in under-served communities around the world. The Legacy Builders Leadership Academy (LBLA) is a living school dedicated to the cultivation and support of transformational, compassionate, and community-minded leaders in under-served communities around the globe. The Academy celebrated a successful international debut in Mafeking, South Africa in July 2017. The Legacy Builders Leadership Academy seeks to empower up-and-coming community leaders through custom-curated leadership seminars and workshops composed by professionals donating their resources and skills to educate participants. The 3-5 day workshops are designed to invoke a rapid shift in mindset and highlight participants’ values and assets that exist within themselves and their communities. Our seminars and workshops help to ignite collaboration and deeper commitment to service to the people and needs within their own locale. The unique proposition of being a "living school" is that the curriculum is based on the particular needs of the community in which the workshops are hosted and adjust accordingly. Legacy Builder Leadership workshops are presented at no cost to the participants, most of whom would be unable to access or afford to attend on their own. Food, transportation and accommodations are provided for participants to have the highest level experience. Currently, LBLA is solely funded through generous donations and sponsorship from philanthropic and civic minded individuals and organizations desiring to make an impact in the world and lives of our global family. Legacy Builders Leadership Academy operates in the spirit of encouraging diversity, inclusion and compassion towards others. We champion being change makers and creating environments of continuing and sustainable development.

We at GLBF are champions of equity, inclusion, and diversity. In our efforts to continuously promote these values, we understand that sports, music and the arts are great equalizers in this effort. Sports share a universal language that encourages community and teamwork (peace) Our signature program - On the Radar Sports Camp infuses leadership training, conflict resolution, and teamwork to build strong leaders and create community interaction and camaraderie amongst youth and adults within the community. On the Radar Sport Academy is one of the initiatives designed by Global Legacy Builders Foundation, also known as GLBF, in accordance with its philosophy and mission. “Global Legacy Builders Foundation believes that one of the richest resources in any community is its youth population.” Bafia is one the communities of Mbam-et-Inoubou in the department of Centre Province in Cameroon where the youth population is high. Through this initiative, GLBF will focus on unlocking and developing human potential in Bafia by investing in leadership development training, experiential and conflict resolution workshops, customized training sessions, and sport and educational infrastructure development and management. In line with GLBF philosophy and mission, “by partnering with community liaisons and organizations that already exist within the community… GLBF seeks to activate, empower, and inspire this resource to be able to take the lead in transforming their environment, thereby leading to a community that is self-sufficient and self-reliant.” Our immediate goal is to organize basketball camps and select a group of young athlete scholars who have the potential to play at a very high level and to give them an opportunity to practice intensively, to familiarize themselves with the exigencies and sociocultural implications of playing and studying abroad, and to participate in workshops on community development and community building. This will require the involvement of local coaches, educators, and parents of the youth selected. Local coaches and educators will be in charge of selecting athlete scholars, boys and girls, between the ages of 12 and 16 years old. They will be expected to volunteer their time for the duration of the camp. Since we do not reside in the community Bafia, our purpose is to provide a rigorous training to local coaches and liaisons in the way that our presence is not required for the structure to function. For this reason, coaches, educators, and parents will be required to participate in workshops on training, leadership, and community building. Our long-term goal including creating an academy for athlete scholars, building sport and educational infrastructures, and creating a school.

The face of the world is changing rapidly. The environment that we eat, breathe and live in is affected by our care of the land, air, and sea. In many of the communities we serve, a newfound understanding of our carbon footprint and the upsurge in the need for agricultural development has created opportunities for us to join in transforming environments and contribute in meaningful ways. By connecting with agricultural educators and working with agricultural programs designed to educate, we can help encourage and empower community contribution to economic independence and change. Join our current “agrication” (agricultural education) initiative to promote a sustainable economic movement in Naboon, Limpopo South Africa.
