Mateo Bilbao

President & Co-Founder

Mateo is currently completing his master's at the Geneva Graduate Institute, where he studies conflict, peace, and development. Through partnerships with local organisations such as Bidyanondo Foundation, GLB supports motivated children from underprivileged communities by strengthening existing structures and offering English classes that open academic and professional doors. Inspired by Amartya Sen's concept of development as freedom, Mateo's work is guided by one goal: making access to opportunity real, not theoretical.

Luis Gomez-Acebo

Co-Founder

With a background in computer science and multilingual fluency, Luis has built innovative startups and research projects from the ground up. His technical expertise and entrepreneurial mindset have proven that thoughtful technology can create meaningful real-world impact. At Global Language Bridge, he applies his builder's perspective to ensure that English language education serves as a tool for empowerment while honoring local knowledge and talent.

Ahnaf Khan

Academic Director

With a background in Environmental Sustainability at Leiden University and a childhood rooted in Bangladesh, Ahnaf has witnessed firsthand the impact of education systems on young lives. His journey with Global Language Bridge—from teacher to project manager to Academic Director—reflects a deep, sustained commitment to children's education. At GLB, he channels that passion into strengthening English language fluency within the national curriculum, helping Bangladeshi students access the opportunities they deserve.

Shatabdi Biswas

Program Coordinator

With a background in English Literature & Language and early childhood education, Shatabdi is a certified Montessori Facilitator who specializes in curriculum development and play-based learning. Currently pursuing her M.Sc. in Early Childhood Development at BRAC University, she brings both academic depth and practical classroom experience to her work. At Global Language Bridge, she oversees English programs across partner schools in Bangladesh, collaborating closely with the Netherlands team to align project goals and deliver measurable impact.

Ana Bilbao

Treasurer

A finance professional based in London, Ana brings several years of experience in finance to Global Language Bridge's budgeting, financial planning, and fundraising initiatives. At GLB, she is passionate about helping the organisation make the most of its resources so it can grow confidently and create more opportunities for students.

Shahidul Mamun

Teacher Formation

A TEFL-certified English language and literature educator with a BA and MA from Dhaka University, Shahidul brings decades of teaching experience under the British curriculum along with deep roots in theatre and creative writing. At Global Language Bridge, he leads teacher preparation, drawing on his background as founding Academic Director of the Prachyanat School of Acting and Design in Dhaka to help our volunteers become more effective and confident in the classroom.
